<h1 style="text-align:center;">Department Of Demise</h1><h2 style="text-align:center;">Created for the Ludum Dare 50 Game Jam Themed: “Delay the Inevitable”</h2><p>A plate-spinning style game where you, a junior Grim Reaper associate, are in charge of adjusting and maintaining the clocks of the soon-to-be-deceased in your purview.</p><p>A ticker of information tells you what your clients have been up to, and how much it adds to or subtracts from their personal clock.&nbsp; You will adjust the clocks accordingly and MUST strike the death sentence when it is time (use given Employee Scythe to this purpose).&nbsp; If you don’t, your error is counted against you and stored in your personnel file.&nbsp; Four slip-ups and you're fired.</p><p>You have a limited number of clients, and the ‘powers that be’ know what your schedule is supposed to look like. <p><span class="text-big">Battle with BADnanas as you attempt to control your “mace.” Use your momentum to swing the mace and try to avoid the peels – you don’t want to slip! The plan was to create traps and enemies that all affected the player’s movement. We would have loved to flesh this idea out some more but had to stay within the given time constraints.&nbsp;</span></p>

<h1 style="text-align:center;"><strong>Artifact Escape</strong></h1><h2 style="text-align:center;">Created for Mini Jam 61 - Themed: “Ancient Egypt”</h2><p style="text-align:center;">&nbsp;</p><figure class="image image-style-align-right image_resized" style="width:30.58%;"><img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/sleepy-donut/image/upload/v1623070685/Capture2_3f4386c374.png"></figure><p><span class="text-big">We were inspired by Indiana Jones and escaping from temples for this jam.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span class="text-big">The limitation given to everyone was “The game must be themed around two conflicting ideas.”&nbsp;</span></p><p><span class="text-big">We interpreted this as you traverse a temple, rogue-like style – but you cannot attack. You can run and dodge traps while also leading enemies to their doom.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

We were given 48 hours total, and came up with a survival game where you fend off ghosts. Our mechanics were inspired by having to flash ghosts with a flashlight in order to capture them with a vacuum.</span></p><p><span class="text-big">You can interact with the scene props and doors with both the vacuum and by pressing “e”. Try hitting “E” when not near any interactable props in order to hear some signature lines!</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p><span class="text-big">How to play: As a parasite in a new environment, your life is depleting quickly. You need a Host to sustain yourself! 
Fire with both mouse buttons tethers that will allow you to absorb the life of your foes while healing you in the process. You can leech off two cells at once, beware to not go to far from them though! When tethered, the enemy cells will stop moving. Don't touch them while alive or you'll die!</span></p>

The exported game uses pancelor's level select fork of Puzzlescript. The "hack" link will take you to the game's original source code, without the level select functionality.
